Normal
Skin System
Normal skin needs to be nourished and
supported so it can be translucent and glowing. Normal skin is
alive and it changes from day to day, week to week, and month to
month. Your life style, stress, diet, medication, make up and
hormones all affect your skin. To have beautiful, radiant,
youthful, glowing skin is the goal of most people. To achieve this
goal requires an ongoing, daily focus and routine that can be fun,
interesting and expanding. As your life changes, your face changes,
therefore, it is important to change your facial routine to match your
current life style. There are a few areas that always seem to
require extra attention and care: the eyes, the nose, the chin, and
the forehead.

Dry Mature Skin
As we grow older, our skin
experiences several significant changes. The skin’s natural support
system begins to break down, causing fine lines, wrinkles and loss of
elasticity. Additionally, the skin’s surface begins to show dark
and light spots, roughness and redness. Even though our skin does
age through time, research has shown that 90% of premature aging is due
to harmful environmental elements, particularly UV radiation or sun
exposure, as well as stress, pollution, smoking, pesticides, diet and
other modern day hazards. Your skin needs extra support from a good
skin care routine if you have any of the following symptoms: you have
fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes, mouth, forehead, neck, you
notice skin discoloration, your skin appears to be thinner with visible
capillaries, or your skin feels rough and looks dull or lacks luster.

Acne or Oily Prone Skin
There are several things that
contribute to oily skin and enlarged pores. Genetics, hot or humid
weather, some medications, cosmetic ingredients, and/or diet can generate
oily skin. Stress can also trigger the over production of skin oil
by stimulating excessive hormone production. Dead skin cells fall into
your skin pores and mix with excess oil and bacteria grows. The
skin becomes inflamed causing skin blemishes or acne within 24 to 48
hours. This inflammation may be in the form of large visible
eruptions. If your skin becomes shiny and/or greasy a few hours
after cleansing then your oil glands are over producing. If your
enlarged pores become clogged, you will experience blemishes or
breakouts.
